Thanks to Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley, Maine the Rave X crew
experienced something that they never thought they would. On April 30th
2011, the guys at Rave X had unlimited use of the ski area's equipment,
ski patrol, groomers and their terrain park. On their command, the
whole saddleback team would create whatever they wanted. Joe hines, the
groomer operator, had never constructed anything like this before but
learned fast enough. There was a learning curve for the whole team but
they finally made it happen.
The first annual Hawaiian Huck Roast
was an event to change the face of snowmobile and ski area relations in
the northeast. The key to the event is to celebrate spring skiing and
at the same time bring the two sports together. They made three snow
hits for the snowmobillers and two hits for the snowboarders/skiers.
The riders shared the same landings so much of the action was timed for
snow rider and snowmobiler tandem action. It was incredible!
